This Privacy Policy explains how BEST LEARNING MATERIALS CORP. collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit or make a purchase from www.bestlearning.com (the "Site").

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Order history and customer service correspondence
  • Account login details, if you create an account
  • Reviews, photographs, or other content you submit
  • Marketing preferences

Payment information. When you pay, your card details are collected and processed directly by Shopify Payments. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded, and limited details such as the last four digits and card type.

If you pay using an express checkout method — Shop Pay or Google Pay — your information is also handled by Shopify (Shop) or Google under their own privacy policies. Choosing to save your details for faster checkout creates a Shop account governed by Shop's terms and privacy policy, not ours.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information, IP address, time zone
  • Pages viewed, products viewed, links clicked, and how you move through the Site
  • The website or search term that referred you
  • Session recordings and heatmaps showing your interactions with pages

We collect this using cookies, log files, pixels, and similar technologies. See section 6.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • To process and fulfil your orders, including arranging delivery and sending confirmations
  • To provide customer service and handle returns
  • To screen orders for fraud or risk
  • To send you marketing by email or SMS, where you have agreed to receive it
  • To improve the Site and understand how it is used
  • To measure the effectiveness of our advertising
  • To comply with our legal obligations

Our legal bases, where UK or EU law applies: performance of a contract (fulfilling your order); our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, improving the Site, direct marketing to existing customers); your consent (non-essential cookies, SMS marketing); and legal obligation (record-keeping requirements).

4. WHO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH

We share personal information with service providers who help us run our business. They may only use it to provide services to us, and not for their own purposes.

We share information with the following categories of recipients:

  • E-commerce platform and payment processing — Shopify and Shopify Payments as our payment processor. If you use an express checkout method, your information is also handled by Shop Pay (Shopify) or Google Pay under their own privacy policies.
  • Order fulfilment and delivery — our fulfilment partners and the carriers who deliver your order
  • Email and SMS marketing — our marketing platform, where you have opted in
  • Analytics and website performance — providers who help us understand how the Site is used, including [session recording and heatmap tools, which capture your interactions with pages — confirm whether this is active]
  • Advertising — advertising partners who help us measure and target our advertising
  • Affiliate programme — partners who refer customers to us and are paid for referred orders
  • Professional and technical services — accountants, IT providers, and advisers, where needed

We also share information where required to comply with law, to respond to lawful requests from authorities, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

International transfers. We are based in Taiwan and use service providers in several countries, so your information is transferred outside your country of residence, including to Taiwan, the United States, and the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

5. MARKETING

We send marketing emails and SMS messages only where you have opted in, or where permitted by law for existing customers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, by replying STOP to any SMS, or by emailing info@bestlearning.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about your orders.

6. COOKIES AND TRACKING

We use:

  • Essential cookies, required for the Site to work — cart, checkout, security
  • Analytics cookies, to understand how the Site is used
  • Advertising cookies, to measure and target advertising
  • Session recording, which captures your interactions with pages [confirm]

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION

  • Order and transaction records: retained for as long as required by accounting and tax law, then deleted
  • Account information: retained while your account is open, and for [24] months after it becomes inactive
  • Marketing contact details: retained until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards to honour your opt-out

Where you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

8. SECURITY

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we work with providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our products are made for children, but the Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@bestlearning.com and we will delete it.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Your rights depend on where you live. In all cases, contact info@bestlearning.com to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

United Kingdom and European Economic Area. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You may complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

California. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" under California law. Other US states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights. Contact us and we will respond in line with the law that applies to you.

Australia. You have the right to access and correct your personal information, and to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The "last updated" date shows when the current version took effect.
